Scuba Review – Refresh

Had a long time on the surface and don’t have full confidence? Take a scuba review, and you will have more confidence than you had on your last dive. Scuba review is also used to upgrade junior open water diver to open water diver.

What’s involved?

A small theory session to bring back what you once learned. Skill practise and and finishing it to a dive.
Scuba Review is also used for upgrading junior level certifications. Additional fees required for receiving a new card, will be paid directly to PADI.

How long will it take?
Half a day.

What do I need to start?
To be at least junior open water diver.

Piratas provides all equipment, boat trips, etc., for the duration of the course.

Am I fit to dive?
Read this medical questionnaire, if you can answer yes to any of the questions, you may require medical clearance to enroll on a diving course. Email us if you want more information.

Typical Diary of Scuba review

Together we’ll spend about an hour going through the theory reminding you about air spaces in your body and equipment and the dive procedures. Then in the afternoon we can set up the equipment together, we’ll buddy check each other and then do a giant stride into the sea. Once you have yourself all comfortable  & relaxed we’ll then have a go at doing some of the shallow water skills with the regulator & the mask, before having some fun with a few buoyancy skills in slightly deeper water.

There will be time thereafter to go for about a 20-minute dive, working on your air conservation, buoyancy skills and then check out the local marine life.

Now what?
Go dive!
